Rabbits

We are currently getting started with our meat rabbit production. My buns are Cali/NZ white crosses that are fed the natural way. The rabbits enjoy delicious and nutritious pasture salad daily, and leaves/twigs/muscadine vines occasionally. Fresh garden basil is their favorite treat!

Unfortunately we went through a few weeks without any on site livestock guardian dogs, and as a result the local raccoon population got a bit too bold. The poor buns took a hit-- so rabbit production is taking a longer time than anticipated to get started.

I currently have one buck and one doe.

Update: The kids took care of them for a week while I (Jane) was gone and they escaped:(

Update: They are under the cabin. We cannot catch them. They come out at night and dance around the farm and laugh at us.

Update: HELP. THE RABBITS HAVE BABIES.

Update: THE RABBITS HAVE TAKEN OVER.
